At the Advanced Automation section in Varberg, we work on truly exciting projects where we contribute expertise and knowledge for technology-intensive automation services to our clients. Locally, we work with the market's largest clients in both our own in-house project operations and on-site with customers. Our clients are found in several sectors, primarily in automation, forestry, infrastructure, paper/pulp, and energy.

Our segment, Automation West at AFRY, currently consists of three closely collaborating sections with around 60 colleagues based in Varberg and Gothenburg, working together in a broad competence group within technology, automation, electrical design, and sustainability. Job Description

As a Technical Project Manager at AFRY, you will drive the development of our clients' industrial solutions, primarily within the automation field. You will be part of a larger team of driven project managers with a strong focus on development within the department. In this role, you need to utilize your technical expertise to ensure that projects meet their goals.

In the role of project manager, you will drive one or more technical projects, which mainly involves being responsible for planning, monitoring, and coordinating internal and external resources in both client and AFRY's internal projects. The role may involve leading your own projects or participating in larger projects as a sub-project manager, coordinator, or similar.

Client assignments are primarily located in Varberg and surrounding areas, but also around Gothenburg and remotely across Sweden.

The position is based in Varberg or Gothenburg.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of experience in driving technical projects related to industry.
• A suitable technical education and/or equivalent experience.
• Experience in industrial automation and an understanding of how projects in the field are conducted.
• A valid driver's license as travel is included in the position.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as this is required by our clients.

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Broad knowledge in automation, DCS systems, and/or SCADA systems.
• In-depth technical experience in automation systems, such as ABB or Siemens.
• Experience as a project manager specifically in the forestry, paper/pulp, or energy sectors.
