Mechanic

Your Role

We are currently looking for mechanics for our unique production of the latest technology submarines and surface vessels at one of the world's most modern shipyards.

In your role as a mechanic, your main tasks will be focused on the manufacturing and assembly of mechanical installations within new construction, renovation, and maintenance of surface vessels. As a mechanic, you will work in areas such as hydraulics, valve/pump/motor maintenance, shaft alignment, rudder assembly, and pressure testing. This makes the work very varied and provides good opportunities to develop your craft and professional skills.

To succeed as a mechanic with us, we see that you are cooperative, solution-oriented, and meticulous.

Your Profile

Requirements

• High school education in workshop technology or equivalent
• Blueprint and schematic reading
• Good material knowledge
• Basic computer skills

Meritorious

• Previous experience working with overhead cranes, forklifts, and mobile platforms.
• Fasteners and measurement technology.
• Experience in areas such as hydraulics/pneumatics, compressed air, and safety valves.
• Skills in material processing, including drilling, turning, milling, and threading.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
