Service & Installation Technician at Eltel in Karlskrona

What are my responsibilities?

As a service and installation technician with us, you will help build, maintain, and service communication networks and critical infrastructure. You will handle all equipment within the IP, LAN technology area, such as routers and switches, as well as other types of customer installations and connections.

Specifically, the work involves:

• New installation and commissioning of hardware such as routers, switches, and access points
• Troubleshooting connections and customer equipment
• Configuration
• Migration
• Performing functional tests together with our customer
• Installation and construction of property networks

As a service technician, you will have many different contacts, both with our production planner who distributes and assigns work to available technicians and with customers when needed. Sometimes you will need to ensure that you acquire what is necessary to solve the problem for the customer. Communication is key.

This position includes on-call duty, which is every 4-5 weeks and is salary-enhancing.

To succeed in this role, we believe you:

• have completed high school education with a relevant focus
• have a good understanding of IP technology, networks, and mobile systems
• can read and interpret work documents
• can handle measuring instruments such as OTDR and similar and analyze results
• have good Swedish and English skills in both speech and writing
• have a B driver's license for manual transmission

It is very meritorious if you have knowledge of fiber and/or copper. It is also meritorious if you have electrical knowledge, as some light electrical work may occur in this position.

As a person, you are responsible and customer-focused, doing what it takes to solve the task, and you are driven to serve the customer in the best way while acting as Eltel's ambassador. You are independent and have an easy time communicating and collaborating with both colleagues and customers.

Additional information

The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period. Start date is as soon as possible or by agreement.
