Responsibilities

As a school nurse, you are part of the Medical Services of Student Health, EMI, and work based on the established basic program for EMI, which includes health visits, health conversations, and vaccinations. The school nurse is also responsible for organizing and planning their own and the school doctor's reception work during the school year and assists in the referral process.

The work also includes issues related to students' working environment, the school's values, and lifestyle-related health, and you become a link in the school's student health team. You primarily work health-promoting and preventive and contribute with your nursing competence to create the best possible conditions for the student's health, development, and learning. In your role as a school nurse, you have the opportunity to make a difference and work closely with the other staff in student health, the school's management, and of course all pedagogical staff at the schools. You also collaborate with guardians and authorities outside the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with specialist training in health and medical care for children and adolescents, district nurse training, or further education focused on school nursing. All documentation for school nurses and school doctors, as well as student health, is done in our digital journal system, ProReNata.

Experience as a school nurse and working with children and adolescents is an advantage. To succeed in your role, it is important that you are flexible, communicative, and have the ability to create good trusting relationships with students, parents, and teachers. You are confident in your professional role, responsible, and have an easy time collaborating. As a school nurse with us, you have an independent role and need a good ability to plan and organize your work well. As you will be active in health-promoting work, you are good at communicating, motivating, and inspiring.

Conditions

The position is 60% and permanent. Start date by agreement.
