Your Responsibilities

Your starting point as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work according to the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

As a teacher, you view the entire school day of the student as important, and therefore you collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, the school's and after-school care's activities collaborate to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the organization, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of different professions.

The position involves teaching music and is divided into 30-40% at Änggårdsskolan and 30% at Hjulsbroskolan. To make the position 100%, another school can be included, where teaching in music or another subject can be offered. The employment rate is determined in consultation with the principal, and the main placement will be at Änggårdsskolan. There is also the possibility to work at a lower employment rate, starting from 30%.

Your Workplace

Änggårdsskolan is a small and family-oriented F-6 school with about 190 students and around 30 staff members. The school is located in the residential area of Lambohov, close to the university and beautiful green areas in the southern part of Linköping. We also have our own focus: the English section. In the English section, students whose parents are temporarily in Sweden for work or research/study attend. The students come from a variety of countries and have English as the language of instruction.

Hjulsbroskolan is an F-6 school located close to nature on the outskirts of Linköping. It is easily accessible by both bus and car.

At the school, just over 300 students learn and develop with the support of our dedicated teachers. We provide students with the conditions for independent thinking, knowledge development, and confidence in the future. This is achieved by meeting each student with respect for their person and work in a safe environment. Throughout the day, we focus on creating a good study environment, and we also actively work with positive behavior support.

Hjulsbroskolan offers a stable organization with a high proportion of qualified teachers who together create a positive working environment and work to establish warm relationships with the students. Through close collegial collaboration and a focus on knowledge, the staff at Hjulsbroskolan contributes to creating the best conditions for each student.

Who We Are Looking For

Primarily, we are looking for someone who has a teaching license with qualifications to teach music for grades 4-6. Secondly, we are looking for someone with a completed teacher education for grades 4-6. Alternatively, you may be at the end of your education to become a teacher for grades 4-6. It is advantageous if you have qualifications to teach in additional subjects, based on the needs of the organization.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through practice or as an employee. It is advantageous if you have taught in grades 4-6 for at least one school year. It is also advantageous if you have experience in grading or documenting students' learning during the school year.

In your role as a teacher in grades 4-6, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish. This is necessary for you to organize and carry out the work according to the curriculum (Lgr22) so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher in grades 4-6, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community that occur in your professional role.
