Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced ground worker who wants to be part of our team and contribute to building and improving road infrastructure. As a ground worker with us, you will work on road construction as well as pipe laying and water and sewage (VA) works. You will be an important part of our team and help create sustainable and functional solutions for our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing ground works during road construction, including excavation, digging, and leveling the ground.
• Installing and laying pipe systems for water and sewage (VA).
• Ensuring that all pipe installations comply with applicable building codes and quality requirements.
• Working on the installation and maintenance of road drainage, stormwater management, and VA systems.

Education and Certifications

Relevant education in construction or a similar field is required for this position. You should have completed high school education in construction or civil engineering. Additional certifications and courses in areas such as ground work, road construction, or similar are advantageous. It is important that you have a good understanding of occupational health and safety legislation and safety regulations within the construction industry. Proof of completed courses and training will be requested. A valid B driver's license is not a requirement for the position. We prefer that you have experience in similar work within the construction industry and can provide references if needed. We will assess your education and experience when selecting candidates for interviews.

Experience

To perform the tasks as a ground worker in our team, we expect you to have the following experience and competencies:

• Experience in road construction – You have previously worked with ground work in road construction, including excavation, leveling the ground, and handling road materials.
• Experience in pipe laying and VA works – You have experience in installing and laying pipe systems for water and sewage (VA). You have worked with both new construction and possibly renovation of VA systems.
• Machine experience – You have good experience in operating and handling machines such as excavators, loaders, and other relevant machines used in road construction and pipe laying.
• Experience in drainage and stormwater management – Experience in working with road drainage, stormwater solutions, and understanding how these systems integrate with VA is a significant advantage.
• Experience working in a team – You have worked in teams and are used to collaborating with colleagues and other professionals to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
