Kriminalvården is looking for a nurse for Anstalten Skenäs

Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Anstalten Skenäs will be upgraded from security class 3 to security class 2 in 2025, which means a strong focus on general security work.

Anstalten Skenäs is located on Vikbolandet, about 30 kilometers outside Norrköping and is not connected to public transport. The remand center is located in central Norrköping. The primary placement is at Anstalten Skenäs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Kriminalvården provides some open health and medical care, which means that all prisons and remand centers have medical clinics where inmates can seek care. The medical clinic offers scheduled visits with psychologists, general practitioners, and psychiatrists.

As a nurse, you will have your own clinic for assessing minor ailments, but you will also determine which applicants should see a doctor or another professional. This means you will work with both somatic and psychiatric health care for inmates, assist during medical appointments, and administer medications (primarily through dose dispensing). Documentation is done in the PMO patient data journal.

You are quality-conscious and meticulous, and you have the ability to structure your approach and drive your processes forward independently.

You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. We are looking for someone who has:

• Nursing license
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing
• Driver's license (B)

It is advantageous if you have:

• A relevant specialization or further education (for example, in psychiatry, emergency care, or outpatient care)
• Work experience in the profession
• Relevant language skills
