Our client is an authority that manages the transmission network for electric power in Sweden. They also conduct research and development projects in many areas to promote new technology. The authority's work affects society socially, environmentally, and economically, both locally and nationally, but also globally through the authority's supply chains. Job Responsibilities:

The project is tasked with developing, implementing, and replacing existing telecommunication technology for data and telecommunications between the transmission network's approximately 250 stations, data centers, and operation centers, as well as communication technology for protection functions within the transmission network. In this assignment, you will be responsible for requirements specification, design, and planning of DWDM networks, as well as reviewing the solutions that are developed.

This assignment involves participation in a national IT infrastructure project at the authority. We see a need for an experienced DWDM architect who has previously participated in larger projects.

• Architectural and design responsibility for nationwide networks
• Specify requirements and initiate development initiatives with suppliers
• Develop, compile, and describe technical roadmaps
• Develop, compile, and describe target architecture
• Ensure the design is developed and realized in accordance with requirements and in relation to the identified target
• Be responsible for maintaining the design throughout the project in close dialogue with the project manager
• Evaluation of results from prototypes
• Participate in information classification, system classification, and risk and vulnerability analysis
• Document architectural descriptions in both text and graphical descriptions
• Present architectural descriptions in IT architecture forums

Requirements for the position:

• At least 5 years of work experience in strategy and architecture work as an architect for large DWDM and OTN networks within the last 20 years
• Documented experience of at least 2 years in segmenting networks according to zone models, multiple devices.

Desirable for the position:

• Documented experience of communication functions for power industry-related applications.

Before the assignment can begin, a security clearance will be conducted.
