Värmland County Care Association is a municipal association consisting of the 16 municipalities of Värmland. The association operates HVB activities in several areas and is a key player in the overall development work regarding harmful use/dependency in the county. The Addiction Center Värmland is jointly operated with Region Värmland for the target group of adults with harmful use/dependency and in need of detoxification care. Riddarnäset is an integrated operation where we, together with Region Värmland, run HVB for young people aged 13-20. Flöjten is our emergency and investigation home targeting children aged 0-12. The association also organizes courses and conferences in the area of harmful use/dependency and, together with Region Värmland and the municipalities of the county, has a mission to jointly develop the work on harmful use/dependency in Värmland.

Would you like to start working at our new HVB home for adults?

Kvarnbackens HVB, which is set to open in November 2025, is a collaboration between Värmland County Care Association and Region Värmland (Adult Psychiatry).

This means that all staff, including treatment assistants, cooks, supervisors, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and doctors work together. All to ensure that our clients receive the best care, support, and treatment for their difficulties in life.

HVB Kvarnbacken will accommodate up to 14 clients, adults aged 20 and over with harmful use and dependency combined with mental health issues.

The staff group consists of doctors, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, treatment assistants, treatment consultants, supervisors, and cooks.

Kvarnbacken offers a unique opportunity to work with care and treatment in an integrated operation in a fantastic environment. Kvarnbacken is located in Forshaga municipality, specifically at Mölnbacka Herrgård.

The treatment will cover areas that are assessed to hinder the client and contribute to as independent a life as possible. There will be access to, in addition to health and medical care, school, internships, various psychoeducational interventions, and treatment programs.

We are convinced that our integrated operation increases the conditions for a cohesive care chain and qualified care and treatment.

We now need to hire a supervisor.

Responsibilities

As a supervisor, you will be responsible for the daily practical work with the clients. Together with other staff, you will be responsible for assessment/investigation together with, among others, the occupational therapist of work and activity ability. The results will be documented as part of Kvarnbacken's investigation activities and as a tool for treatment, upcoming discharge, and possible aftercare. Additionally, planning and implementation of internship/work-oriented interventions for our clients. The interventions are part of the implementation plan that each client has. The interventions can take place both at Kvarnbacken and out in the community. You will be responsible for a work team consisting of clients and, as needed, participate in program activities and other activities.

As a supervisor, you will also be responsible for the maintenance of roads, green areas, and plantings, maintenance of inventory and equipment. You will handle various purchases and goods transport and participate in the systematic safety and work environment efforts. The supervisor is also responsible for ongoing maintenance and minor repairs of buildings and machinery according to established plans. You will also assist the unit manager with the controls and follow-ups mandated by authorities of various devices and installations in the prescribed manner.

Ongoing documentation of journal notes is included, which means you should be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. The time spent with clients during their placement at Kvarnbacken has clear goals and purposes, which means that you perform structured activities during work shifts together with clients individually or in groups. You are expected to participate in all activities that clients should/can perform, both theoretical and practical in nature.

As a supervisor, together with the unit manager, you will have a special responsibility for the care and maintenance of the property.

Qualifications

You preferably have a post-secondary education in behavioral science. You may also have other education or experience that we assess as suitable.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and previous experience working as a supervisor.

We see that you, as a person, find it easy to connect with clients, are flexible, proactive, and have high stress tolerance as well as excellent collaboration skills. The work can be demanding at times, which requires calmness and endurance from you as a person. It is an advantage if you have experience in both municipal and private operations within property maintenance or HVB activities.

Training in structured assessment methods in the area of activity and work ability.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

A driver's license is a requirement.

Meritorious:

• Experience working in HVB homes
• Experience working in an environment where different cultures and approaches meet
• Knowledge of harmful use and dependency, psychiatry/neuropsychiatry, and psychosocial treatment methods for people with harmful use and dependency.

Conditions

A valid extract from the police's suspicion and criminal record for HVB homes is required.
