Job Description

We are looking for a handy jack-of-all-trades with a representative demeanor who thrives in an international environment. We prefer that you have a strong sense of responsibility and good initiative that allows you to independently drive your work forward. Since you will be in contact with everyone from craftsmen and cleaning staff to ministers and royalty, it is important that you possess social skills, can easily navigate different environments, and are flexible in your working methods. Collaboration with others is a given.

Who are you

You are a handy person who can handle tools and feels comfortable performing minor repairs, improvements, and maintenance. You have good communication skills and can easily adapt to different environments, maintaining a representative demeanor and understanding how to treat VIPs. You have good local knowledge of the Stockholm area and the ability to make quick decisions in unforeseen situations that may arise, such as traffic issues or delays in schedules. You have a safety mindset that permeates all your tasks.

Start June 16 and until January 9

The working hours are part-time, 30.4 hours/week, distributed over Monday to Friday. Overtime occurs on average 2 weekday evenings/week.

Responsibilities

• Daily oversight of our premises and inventory, including both the embassy office and the ambassador's residence. Perform and oversee repairs, ongoing maintenance, and care of these, as well as bring in craftsmen as needed.
• Contact with contractors and suppliers regarding requests for proposals.
• Office services and procurement of office supplies as well as mail handling.
• Prepare conference rooms for various events and procure drinks and snacks for these.
• Contact person for our alarm center for incoming alarms and responsible for follow-up.
• Private chauffeur for the ambassador according to schedule and driving VIP guests. (Inconvenient working hours may occur, mainly weekday evenings)
• Regular maintenance of the car and ensuring it is intact, clean, and representative both inside and out.

Qualifications

• Completed education at least at the high school level.
• Good knowledge of both English and Swedish, spoken and written.
• Driver's license B for at least 10 years and good driving experience for at least 5 years.
• Some experience in property maintenance is desirable.
