Background & Assignment Description

Several exciting projects are underway at our client where they are developing various support systems to meet new needs, and they are now looking for a software developer to join a development team. As a Software Developer focusing on Python, you will be part of a development team that is part of a project. The team's mission in the project is to develop an application for collecting and analyzing information from various operational environments. The development team currently consists of several people with different roles, including UX designer, developers, architect, and testers.

Responsibilities

In the role of software developer, your tasks will include:

• Developing solution proposals according to the business needs
• Independently developing REST API functionality in Python and FastAPI
• Writing clear and high-quality code
• Writing unit and integration tests
• Integrating applications and tests into the system's build pipeline and DevOps routines
• Configuration of Linux servers
• Participating in the team's planning activities
• Contributing to the management of the IT systems delivered by the project, including user support, troubleshooting, bug fixing, and further development, as well as assisting in other IT management tasks that may arise later

As a software developer, you are also expected to contribute knowledge about:

• Frameworks for Python
• Testing and code scanning, SonarQube and JFrog Xray
• Software architecture in Python applications
• System and architecture documentation

Mandatory Requirements:

• University education of 120hp/180hp in IT or at least 6 years of work experience as a software developer
• At least five years of work experience in software development, of which at least three years in Python applications with relational database implementations
• At least three years of work experience in agile methodologies
• At least three years of work experience in CI/CD and DevOps, using tools such as Git, Azure DevOps Server, GitLab, and/or GitHub
• At least two years of work experience in a containerized environment using platforms such as Docker, Docker-compose, Podman, and/or Kubernetes

Desirable Requirements:

• At least two years of work experience in software development in Python for applications supporting data analysis
• At least two years of work experience in test-driven development
• At least two years of work experience in designing secure software solutions
