Your tasks

In your role as a textile crafts teacher, you will be part of a teaching team with other practical aesthetic teachers; crafts, music, and physical education. You will teach both primary school students and students from our adapted primary school, as well as one of the city's adjacent KSU groups. We hold regular conferences with all teachers at the school and specific times where you meet class teachers from our adapted primary school.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a certified primary school teacher with the authority to teach textile crafts. You have good digital skills and we would like you to have previous experience working in primary school, especially in textile crafts. If you have experience in adapted primary school, we also consider that an advantage.

As a person, you are secure and stable in your role as a teacher. You are eager to bring new ideas and work independently based on our vision and goals. In this role, it is important that you have good communication skills and enjoy collaborating with others. You work to create accessible environments and understand that everyone has different conditions and learns in different ways.

We are a school that works for everyone as our unit includes both primary school and adapted primary school. Students from our different school forms meet continuously both indoors and outdoors. Educators from after-school care and school meet and collaborate every day in their teaching teams, and the adults in the teaching team follow the student throughout the school day. All staff and students actively work with values-based issues, focusing on cooperation, perseverance, and empathy. Our students achieve high goal fulfillment, and survey responses show that one of the school's success factors is safety and study peace in all classrooms.

The operation of the school is well-established and functioning well. The school management works trustfully and closely. The student health team is present every day and, like the school management, has a very accessible approach.

Ormkärrskolan currently has about 380 students from preschool class to grade 6. We have a common goal, and we always focus on the well-being and knowledge development of the students!

Before you can be employed, you need to present an approved extract from the police's criminal record.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a certificate of citizenship along with an ID. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
