Payroll Consultant at Skövde Municipality

As a payroll consultant, you play an important role within our municipal management staff. Our mission is to improve, lead, and support the development of the municipality. We create conditions for our citizen-oriented operations to achieve their goals.

The payroll unit is organized within the HR and Payroll Department. The unit consists of payroll consultants, system managers, payroll economists, administrators in pensions/insurance/benefits, and business developers. The payroll unit is a forward-looking team with various complementary skills and experiences, united by the common ability to deliver value to our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Everyone in the payroll unit contributes to an offensive development effort where we continuously improve our working methods, our work environment, our processes, and system support. We process approximately 11,000 payrolls per month for 17 different employers, and the unit's employees engage in customer dialogue with companies, unions, and municipalities in collaboration.

In the role of payroll consultant at Skövde Municipality, you will work broadly with all administrative tasks within the payroll process. This includes vacation pay chains, fees, deductions, payroll liabilities, and finalizing employment contracts. The role also includes receiving, coordinating, and resolving inquiries in our payroll customer service, guiding our customers in the municipality's payroll system (Medvind, HR+ 8, and WinLas Web), as well as participating in and/or leading various development activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with at least 1 year of experience working as a payroll consultant/payroll administrator in an organization of a similar size to ours. You have a post-secondary education in personnel administration and/or payroll, such as a KY education or equivalent.

As a person, you are well acquainted with digital tools and working methods. You have experience working in a process-oriented manner and enjoy that way of working. You are a team player who prioritizes the whole and has the ability to listen and find solutions based on the customer's needs.

You are skilled at structuring and prioritizing your work, following our processes to solve problems, and ultimately satisfying the customer. You also have the willingness and ability to contribute to the continued development of our payroll delivery and our team! We place great importance on your personal qualities.

If you have experience with seasonal employment, it is an advantage.
