Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

  • Develop and implement supplier quality assurance strategies to ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
  • Conduct supplier audits, process evaluations, and risk assessments to identify potential quality concerns.
  • Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvement plans where necessary.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action processes for supplier-related quality issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives, process optimizations, and defect prevention.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or other relevant quality management standards.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, inspection plans, and supplier quality agreements.
  • Work closely with procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the supply chain.
  • Conduct PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and FAI (First Article Inspection) reviews.
  • Support the resolution of non-conformance issues, manage supplier corrective actions, and track effectiveness.
  • Provide technical support and training to suppliers to enhance quality awareness and compliance.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in supplier quality, quality assurance, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, FMEA, SPC, APQP, PPAP).
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and supplier management.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or relevant industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with suppliers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and quality management software.
  • Willingness to travel to supplier sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, electronics, or heavy manufacturing industries.
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English (if applicable).
