Jämtlands Gymnasieförbund is responsible for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, and parts of adult education in our member municipalities. The federation's seven schools are located in nature and mountain-adjacent environments spread across five municipalities – Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.

Do you want to be an important part of our student health work at the upper secondary school? We are now looking for two licensed school nurses for permanent employment with a working degree between 60 and 100 %.

The start date is August 11, 2025.

Placement and exact working degree will be adjusted based on the needs of the organization and your current place of residence. The positions are distributed within the central student health, which means that you may work at one or more of our upper secondary schools within the federation.

Your Future Tasks

In the central student health within Jämtlands Gymnasieförbund, school nurses, counselors, psychologists, and school doctors collaborate to provide support to all upper secondary schools in the federation. As a school nurse, you will be part of the school nurses' professional group with regular professional meetings, in the central student health team and in the local student health team at the school or schools where you work. The local team also consists of the principal, special educator, and study counselor.

Your work is both preventive and health-promoting. You support students in feeling good and achieving their study goals. Your tasks include, among others:

• conducting health visits based on a health survey
• administering vaccinations according to the medical annual wheel
• providing information and guidance on healthy lifestyle habits
• contributing medical expertise in planning various activities, both in and outside of school

You work closely with your student health team and play an important role in strengthening students' conditions for a successful upper secondary school experience.

Who Are You?

You are a licensed nurse with specialist training in child and adolescent care, district nursing, or school nursing. It is an advantage if you have experience working as a school nurse.

We believe you enjoy working independently, can make your own decisions easily, and see the value in being part of a team. You have a good approach, a genuine commitment to youth health and development, and you are driven to work preventively and health-promoting. You have a good ability to plan and structure your work, but you are also flexible when needed.

You need to have a B driver's license, as the work may involve travel between our various schools.
