The Social Services Administration is looking for nursing assistants for Hedegården's dementia department

The positions are temporary contracts at 80 - 100 percent from May 2 to September 2026, with the possibility of extension or permanent employment.

Description

Hedegården's nursing home consists of six residential units, four of which are dementia-focused. In the dementia unit, we work based on a common care philosophy aimed at enhancing the overall perspective and quality in interactions with individuals suffering from dementia.

Job Responsibilities

Hedegården's nursing home consists of six residential units, four are dementia units and two are somatic units. Each dementia unit has eight apartments. In the common areas, there are kitchens, dining, and living rooms. Here, we create a pleasant and shared environment where our care recipients can thrive.

The job responsibilities include care work based on individual needs and health care tasks according to instructions or delegated by occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nurses. We offer a fun job that is also demanding and varied. Therefore, it requires initiative, flexibility, good health, creativity, and the ability to collaborate. We work with joint planning, and work may therefore be assigned to different departments at Hedegården. The work is scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts. We are currently developing digital support for documentation and structure in the work. Qualifications

Completion of the nursing program for nursing assistants and approved grades in Swedish 1 and social studies at the upper secondary level. Great emphasis is placed on good collaboration skills and experience in care work as well as personal suitability. It is an advantage if you have training and experience working with individuals with dementia and psychiatric conditions. Computer proficiency is required as documentation is done through the IT system Treserva.

It is required that you have a protected professional title as a nursing assistant or are covered by transitional provisions to be offered a position as a nursing assistant.

Conditions

Monthly salary and other employment benefits according to the applicable collective agreement. Tanum municipality has a smoke-free work environment. Therefore, we prefer that you are smoke-free.
