Summer Staff for Freja Hostel 2025

We are looking for staff to join our team at Freja Hostel this summer. We welcome guests for overnight stays and events. Freja is beautifully located on the Östgötaslätten, 14 km outside Linköping, where our guests can find peace, meet and socialize, or enjoy summer activities in the area. We have 18 guest rooms with 45 beds. We also have event spaces for rent and large outdoor areas.

Freja is run by a small private company with three to four summer employees. The owners also work in the business. We help each other with all tasks, but you will work independently. The work with us is varied, and you will handle all tasks related to the hostel. You will welcome guests, answer the phone and emails, check in guests, process payments, and prepare and serve breakfast. A significant part of the tasks involves cleaning guest rooms and common areas. This means you need to be able to organize your work and take responsibility. Working at Freja is both rewarding and fun.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is service-oriented and stress-resistant

• Is meticulous and organized

• Is reliable and punctual

• Is self-driven and responsible

• Is computer literate and can handle booking systems

You should be proficient in both spoken and written Swedish and English. Additional languages, such as German, are a plus.

With us, you will meet many people from Sweden and other countries. Your role is an important part of the guest experience, so you must be comfortable communicating with different people through friendly and service-oriented interactions.

The work is scheduled, usually from 07:00-13:00 or 16:00-20:30, and is part-time. Some double shifts may occur, including weekends.

The employment mainly covers the period from June 1 to August 31, but we also need someone who can start as early as mid-May. Introduction will take place at the beginning of employment. There is also an opportunity to continue working extra in the fall, as needed.

No buses go all the way to us, so it is an advantage if you have a driver's license and access to your own car.
