Social Worker with Coordination Function at Stoppcenter

The position is split, with 50% of your time as a social worker with reception function and 50% as a social worker with coordination function. The temporary position runs from August 25 to December 31, 2026.

StoppCenter is a unit that works against violence in close relationships, where we have gathered authority and interventions within the same unit. The goal of our operations is to support all parties in a family where violence occurs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We work systemically to meet each resident's needs. The goal is to enable development towards independence and a life free from violence. The assignment includes extensive collaboration with both external and internal parties.

Description of the Coordinator Role:

You are the one who drives collaboration and development work towards common goals with the authorities involved in StoppCenter. You do this together with the police coordinator. The authorities involved in StoppCenter are the police authority, the prosecution authority, the region, and probation services.

As a coordinator, you call and lead consultation meetings. You are also the one who can be consulted and is a support for other units within the administration and partners in matters concerning the target group. You are also responsible for uniting the unit's work to spread and raise awareness about violence both internally and to various community actors with the aim of preventing violence.

Description of the Social Worker with Reception Function:

The work as a social worker is varied, flexible, and partially urgent. You will meet victims of violence, perpetrators, and children who have witnessed violence. The work includes making risk assessments, preliminary assessments, and making decisions about interventions. You are the one in the team who primarily focuses on reception and first contact with us at StoppCenter. This means staffing our phone line where both users and professionals can call. It also involves handling incoming applications and reports and receiving visits that are of an urgent nature.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work or a behavioral science degree with additional qualifications that meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for social workers (basic level social work, advanced level social work, social law, administrative law, psychology).
• A valid driver's license (B).
• Experience working with violence in close relationships.
• Experience in some form of authority exercise within individual and family care/social services.

It is highly meritorious if you have work experience from a leading/coordinating role in work with violence in close relationships. If you have further education/taken courses at university/college in the field, that is also meritorious. If you specifically have experience handling violence in close relationships from both the victim's and perpetrator's perspective, that is also an advantage. Knowledge and training in Signs of Safety is also meritorious.

Your personal qualities are important. We want to create a team with good collaboration skills and a lack of prestige. You are primarily secure in yourself, outgoing, and driven. You have a desire to be involved in developing operations and working methods. You remain calm and controlled in stressful situations and plan and prioritize your work effectively. You find it easy to collaborate and create new contacts. You are also attentive to clients' needs and have the ability to understand someone else's perspective.
