Norra Västmanlands Municipal Technical Federation (NVK)
Norra Västmanlands Municipal Technical Federation, NVK, is a municipal federation where the members are the municipalities of Fagersta and Norberg. The headquarters is located in Fagersta with branch offices in Norberg. The federation is responsible for the operation of residential properties, commercial properties, streets and roads, water and sewage, parks, forests, recreational facilities, IT, and cleaning services. NVK is ultimately led by its board, appointed by the municipalities of Fagersta and Norberg. The board has overall responsibility, while the federation manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the organization. NVK has approximately 150 employees and a turnover of 400 million.

We are looking for an engaged and responsible team leader to be part of our team in the Water and Sewage department in both Fagersta and Norberg.
Your mission
In this role, you will lead all activities related to Water and Sewage in both Fagersta and Norberg municipalities. The main focus is on the maintenance of the municipal water and sewage network. You will have approximately 15 employees/colleagues and a varying number of hired contractors at your disposal. Your tasks will include administering, preparing, and planning maintenance work, water and sewage renovations, and smaller expansions of the pipeline network. These tasks are carried out in-house or as projects with contractors as executors. Coordination with others within and outside the department is a natural part of the mission. You will work closely with all functions within the federation and in close collaboration with the department manager and other colleagues. You will have clear responsibility for planning and executing assigned tasks together with the various functions and ensuring quality in the execution. You will have operational responsibility, workplace safety responsibility, and personnel responsibility. You will also be involved in planning the department's finances regarding purchases and invoice management, documentation for billing, budget work, and financial follow-up.
Your role will also include being a client towards contractors. You will have operational responsibility for the department's vehicles and machinery and their distribution. The role of team leader means translating the federation's overarching goals and strategies into action and adhering to common regulations. Your qualifications and merits
It is important that you have several years of work experience in the relevant field. Previous experience in the public sector is an advantage.
