Construction Project Manager Wanted for Västerås City

We are looking for an experienced construction project manager who wants to take responsibility for driving and developing our construction projects from start to finish. Here you will have the opportunity to influence the city's development and contribute to building the future of Västerås.

Your Responsibilities

You will lead and coordinate construction projects throughout the entire process, from planning to handover to management. The construction project manager is responsible for project economics, timelines, and quality, ensuring that projects are carried out according to applicable regulations and objectives. The role also includes handling procurement and construction law, and working strategically for sustainable and cost-effective solutions based on business principles. You will have extensive contact with external parties, such as contractors, as well as internally with other departments and when presenting materials to committees and other decision-makers. You play a significant role in the development of the team and actively contribute to continuous improvements in our working methods and processes.

Your Competence

You lead your projects with clarity and good structure. Flexibility is a given for you as you know that you may need to adapt to changing circumstances. You have the ability to see the big picture, both in your projects and in the organization as a whole, and often come up with ideas and creative solutions to move forward. You are skilled at creating and maintaining good relationships with those you work with, both internally and externally, and understand the importance of good collaboration.

You have an academic degree in construction or equivalent work experience, and experience in driving construction projects as a project manager. You have a good understanding of all parts of the construction process and knowledge of construction law, BAS-P, and BAS-U. It is a significant plus if you have knowledge of LOU, familiarity with environmental construction, and previous experience working in a politically governed organization.

You will be driving a car for work, so you need to have a valid driver's license (B).
