As a project manager with us, you will have a central role in leading and driving our assignments forward. You are responsible for creating a trusting partnership with the client and leading and coordinating the team to ensure that contractual requirements and goals are met. You manage the entire assignment – from finances and timelines to effective collaboration between railway technical disciplines and design.

You will, among other things:

• Lead and coordinate the team to ensure that project goals are achieved.
• Be responsible for financial management, timelines, and deliveries according to the assignment description.
• Build and maintain good relationships with clients and designers.
• Ensure collaboration between railway technical disciplines and effective design.
• Conduct investigations.
• Conduct reviews and ensure that requirements and regulations are followed.
• Collaborate in bidding and startup work.
• Prepare system documents, construction documents, and tender documents.

You will work with our wonderful team in Uppsala, Stockholm, Västerås, or Norrköping and collaborate digitally with our other colleagues from our other locations in Sweden as well as internationally. You will also receive support from our PMO team (Project Management Office), which works to provide all project managers with the best possible conditions for success.

About you

We are looking for someone who is responsible, solution-oriented, and driven to achieve results. You handle challenges and unforeseen situations with calm and ensure that deliveries are made on time and with high quality. You build trust through your leadership and have a natural ability to build and nurture relationships both internally and externally, while ensuring that everyone works towards common goals. Furthermore, you have a flexible approach and navigate smoothly through changing conditions.

Qualifications

• Civil and/or university engineer with a focus on railway or technology, or have acquired knowledge in other ways.
• Good experience in document management within the design process up to finished construction documents.
• Several years of experience as a design manager, project manager, or in a similar leadership role, with documented good results in railway projects.
• Experience in multidisciplinary projects
• Experience in the consulting role
• Knowledge of AMA including MER (Measurement and compensation regulations).
• Familiarity with ABK 09, AB 04, and ABT 06.
• Familiarity with tender documents in FU: UF, UK, and UB.
• Very good knowledge of the Office package.
• Very good knowledge of both Swedish and English in speech and writing.

Location and other information

We offer a permanent position at SYSTRA AB, starting by agreement. You will be based at one of our offices in Stockholm (we have offices both in the south and north), Uppsala, Västerås, or Norrköping, but we also offer the flexibility to work remotely a few days a week. Travel for work may occur.
