The area of operation (VO) for cardiology and pulmonology (HLM) at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) consists of four sections: heart failure and valve, arrhythmia, coronary arteries, and the lung and allergy unit. We conduct highly specialized activities in cardiac and pulmonary care in both Lund and Malmö. Nursing rounds are being introduced and will be an important part of the care where the interdisciplinary team plans for patients.

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (HIA) is the largest center in the country for the treatment of acute heart disease, and we provide high-tech care. With us, there are opportunities for further education, development, and research for the individual employee. Our unit is characterized by employee-driven development where all staff members are an important part of our goal: to be Sweden's leading cardiac intensive care and interventional unit. We work process-oriented in groups to develop care, which is always done together with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, social workers, and medical secretaries as equal members.

Many of our employees have extensive experience in cardiac intensive care, and with this solid competence, we are ready to welcome both experienced and newly graduated colleagues. After some time with us, you will be equally comfortable receiving a patient directly from the ambulance stretcher with an ongoing heart attack, as well as providing meticulous specialized care to a highly unstable heart failure patient awaiting a heart transplant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome nurses to us at HIA, and we are looking for you who thrive and want to work in a team around the severely ill heart patient.

In the role of a nurse with us, you have significant opportunities to develop in your role and deepen your knowledge and competence in the most advanced cardiac care in Sweden. You will work with the nursing of our heart patients. The care provided is high-tech, including mechanical left ventricular assist devices with impeller pumps, aortic balloon pumps, and continuous advanced hemodynamic monitoring.

As a new employee, you will receive thorough training with theory and practical guidance, with the goal of making you feel secure and comfortable in our unit. The theoretical part includes lectures, as well as our training program that the employees at HIA have largely helped develop. Scheduled training days are included. There are also good opportunities for further education at conferences, through interest associations, and much more.

The position also includes, after training, work at the Heart Clinic for angiography and intervention where we examine and treat patients with coronary artery disease.

There, you will start by being responsible for the care of the patient and then learn about the X-ray machines and materials. Additionally, there is the opportunity to begin assisting in the interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you have language skills in Swedish that correspond to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. Previous experience in cardiac care is an advantage for the position.
