We are looking for a qualified nursing assistant who creates security and contributes to ensuring that our elderly Stockholmers at Tussmötegården's care and nursing home have a meaningful and functioning everyday life.

We offer

Tussmötesgården is a municipal nursing home with 80 care places with dementia and somatic orientation distributed over two buildings. We work from a person-centered approach where the focus is on health, well-being, and quality of life. We offer beautiful surroundings and good communications. The care and nursing home is in close proximity to the Svedmyra subway and other transportation, as well as close to the city's offerings and parks. Meeting people with different life experiences and backgrounds makes the work both educational and exciting.

Your role

As a nursing assistant with us, you provide residents with a meaningful everyday life by offering personal care, support, and social activation. You are an important piece in supporting and motivating the elderly, creating security, and maintaining contact with relatives. The interventions should be designed to strengthen the individual's resources so that they can live an independent life. With us, we work together, and you will collaborate with other professionals to offer our residents the best possible living conditions. Your tasks will consist of planning and implementing the interventions that residents have requested according to the implementation plan, together with the work team.

You maintain contact with relatives, participate in care planning, and social documentation. In addition to care tasks, delegated tasks according to HSL will be included.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for you who have:

• a protected professional title as a nursing assistant and/or a completed high school education in healthcare, social care, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• computer skills and the ability to master the Swedish language well in speech and writing since documentation and reporting are part of the job.

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience working in a care and nursing home
• experience handling medication
• knowledge of dementia care, palliative training, and BPSD.

We are looking for you who are confident in your professional role and have a professional demeanor. You are attentive and have the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation. You have a good ability to plan work together with the team with a focus on the residents. You take responsibility for your work, structure, and independently drive tasks forward. We also see that you contribute to good collaboration by having an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach.

The work is scheduled during the day/evenings and weekends. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's skills and thus counteracting discrimination.

Enskede Årsta Vantör is one of 11 district administrations in the City of Stockholm. As part of the City of Stockholm, the administration offers preschool and leisure, care for the elderly and people with disabilities, social services, preventive and safety work, urban development, and park maintenance to our 105,000 Stockholmers living in the district. We face exciting challenges as the Enskede Årsta Vantör district grows and entirely new neighborhoods are built. Approximately 18,000 new apartments are planned by 2030.

To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes in the City of Stockholm, you must provide an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
