Social Worker for the Child and Family Unit (BFE)

The Social and Labor Market Administration consists of three operations. Operation 1 includes the Individual and Family Care (IFO) and consists of the Child and Family Unit, Reception and Prevention Unit, Unit for Social Interventions for Children and Youth, and the Unit for Social Interventions for Adults.

Our Child and Family Unit (BFE) consists of 7 teams; Family Law, Foster Care, Crime Group, three Child and Youth teams, an Investigation Group, a Placement Group, and two Combination Groups where work is done with investigations and open care interventions, as well as three VINR caseworkers who are part of the combination group.

Each team is led by a senior social worker, and in addition, there are two assistant unit managers and one unit manager in the unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Child and Family Unit (BFE) is in a development phase where we are expanding and developing our work with a new working method, where we focus on more specific tasks within the child and youth area. We now need to grow further and are looking for a driven, curious, and engaged social worker who wants to work with investigative work (supported by SoL and LVU) focusing on children, youth, and their families.

We have a working method where many cases are handled by primary and co-caseworkers.

In the unit, we always work with the needs of children at the center, and we have implemented the Signs of Safety working method.

We believe in meeting the residents of Borlänge where they are and helping and guiding individuals to find their own capacity to make lasting changes. The work is based on the legislation, guidelines, and knowledge support available, and you work from evidence-based practice. Important for us is a legally secure handling process and a very good reception.

In the groups, there is a senior social worker who has a leading role and supports and guides you in your daily work, for example, you have regular individual case reviews with your supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Social Work
• You have a very good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish
• Driving license B

Desirable:

• Experience in investigative work within individual and family care, IFO
• Experience working in VIVA
• Training in BBIC
• Training in Signs of Safety
• MI training
• Training in honor-related violence
