The Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences is an interdisciplinary environment where 10 research areas work to contribute to better medicines and a healthier world. With laboratories in the heart of Uppsala Biomedical Center and Sweden's only Pharmaceutical Faculty, we are a vital engine in the development of education and research in the pharmaceutical sciences. Job Responsibilities
Data management and analysis of data from cell profiling experiments using Cell Painting and high-content imaging. Deep learning and multivariate methods, supervised and unsupervised. Development of software and pipelines for analysis and large-scale handling of image data. Participation in the VR/SciLifeLab infrastructure Chemical Biology Consortium Sweden (CBCS).

Qualifications
- Master's degree in bioinformatics, computer science, computer engineering, scientific computing, or related field
- Documented experience with AI methods for analysis of tabular datasets and image-based data, including deep neural networks
- Documented experience in image analysis
- Strong skills in Python programming and Linux/HPC environments
- Strong skills in large-scale data management and file systems
- Previous experience with virtualization and software development
- Good social skills and ability to work on multiple parallel projects
- Able to work both in teams and independently and solve problems on your own
- Able to document code and projects and interact with researchers from other disciplines
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English are required
Desirable/Meritorious
- Experience in analyzing data from cell-based assays using microscopy
About the Position
The position is permanent, with a probationary period applicable. The extent is full-time. Start date 2025-04-21 or by agreement. Location: Uppsala.
