Department of Molecular Sciences

The Department of Molecular Sciences at Biocentrum, Ultuna Campus, Uppsala currently consists of about 90 employees and encompasses several collaborative areas such as inorganic, physical and organic chemistry, biochemistry, molecular structural biology, biotechnology, natural product chemistry, microbiology, and food science. The research focuses on chemical and biological processes, and the department also collaborates with industrial partners on the development of innovations significant for the transition to a sustainable society. The research area of green chemistry is of great strategic importance for SLU. The department offers teaching in chemistry, food science, and microbiology at both undergraduate and advanced levels in educational programs leading to, among others, agronomist, bachelor's, and master's degrees.

About the Job

We are looking for a senior advisor who, if needed, can participate in teaching organic chemistry at the undergraduate level and assist with course administrative tasks during 2025.

Your Background

The applicant must be an associate professor or equivalent in the field of organic chemistry. Documented experience in teaching chemistry and organic chemistry is required for the appointment. The nature of the tasks requires that you can communicate well in both Swedish and English.

Placement:

Department of Molecular Sciences, SLU Biocentrum, Ultuna Campus in Uppsala.

Employment Type:

Hourly paid employment; fixed-term employment.

Extent:

The position comprises an average of 40 hours per month, until December 31, 2025.

Start Date:

By agreement.
