Utväg Södra Älvsborg is an authority collaboration that works with violence in close relationships.

The main responsible for the operation is Västra Götalandsregionen, but it is financed half by the municipalities in Södra Älvsborg.

The operation offers support in the form of counseling, individually or in groups, for people who are or have been subjected to violence, people who perpetrate/have perpetrated violence, as well as children and young people who have experienced violence in close relationships (VINR). Utväg also works with training and other competence-enhancing measures for and together with the collaborating authorities and others who wish to receive training on VINR. About the Position

Due to upcoming retirements, Utväg Södra Älvsborg is now seeking a social worker who will work with supportive and processing conversations for both children/youth and adults who have experienced violence in close relationships.

Utväg has been an established operation for nearly 30 years, specializing in work with violence in close relationships. As a social worker with us, you will primarily meet children and young people as well as their parents. The position also includes meeting adults who have been subjected to violence in therapeutic conversations, and conversations with individuals who have perpetrated violence may also occur. You will be part of a team of 6 social workers. The reception and workplace are located in central Borås, but the catchment area includes all 10 municipalities in Södra Älvsborg.

The position as a social worker means that you will largely work independently, meeting individuals who live in or have experiences of violence in close relationships. An important part is also to collaborate with colleagues and to be part of driving development and educational work. In the role of social worker, it is included to offer advice and consultation in the area and to collaborate with other community actors. Since group activities are an important part of Utväg's treatment offerings, the position may also involve being a group leader. The work is varied and also includes telephone counseling.

In addition to clinical work, you will participate in Utväg's educational activities, which means lecturing and training on VINR to internal and external organizations. You will also be involved in the methodological development work that is constantly ongoing at Utväg, through, for example, monitoring developments in the field.

The working hours are mainly during the day, but some shift in working hours may occur in connection with group activities. As a social worker, you will receive continuous supervision.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a social worker and has experience in clinical work with children and young people. We would like you to have good knowledge of the area of violence in close relationships and experience in meeting children and young people in vulnerable situations. It is desirable that you have basic training in psychotherapy (step 1). It is an advantage if you are a licensed health and medical care social worker. You are a person who is not unfamiliar with educating, lecturing, and driving development work together with colleagues and in collaboration with other authorities and actors.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as responsibility, initiative, flexibility, good collaboration skills, and a professional approach. You are comfortable meeting and working with individuals in difficult life situations.
