Description

We are looking for a family therapist for our Family Team within the Social Services in Lilla Edet Municipality.

Our unit consists of the Family Team and the Adult Team, which works with adults with mental health issues as well as substance abuse and dependency, and support for relatives. The Family Team and the Adult Team each have their own coordinator, and together the teams have a unit manager.

The Family Team's mission is to prevent and reduce social problems and mental health issues among children and adolescents through preventive, supportive, and transformative interventions. We particularly focus on working with the family and others in the family’s network to ensure that children and adolescents can remain in their home environment and have a functioning school life and leisure activities. Our main mission is to work with preventive interventions for individuals and groups, something we will further develop in the coming years.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the family therapist involve psychosocial change work based on evidence-based methods with children, adolescents, and families. The work is carried out in the families' homes, in our facilities, or wherever is most suitable for the assignment. We work largely on behalf of, and in close collaboration with, social workers who approve the intervention. We collaborate with preschools, schools, and other partners who are important for the child. The Family Team also offers parental support in groups or individually without needs assessment, where you as a family therapist play an important role.

Qualifications

We are looking for you:

• who is a social worker, social pedagogue, or has another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• who has experience in psychosocial change work with children, youth, and their parents.

Being trained in methods such as Family Therapy, ABC, PYC, ICDP, Musslan/Skilda världar, the KRIM program, MI, ÅP, or CPU is an advantage. You have a good ability and willingness to collaborate and to see opportunities and solutions. You also have good cooperation with both families and partners but can also work independently and in a structured manner. As a person, you are positive with your own drive and believe that the living conditions of children and youth are important and crucial.

Conditions

You have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form. A B driver's license is a requirement. Working hours are daytime with flexible hours, but afternoon and evening work may occur.
