The central IT department at Karolinska Institutet consists of about 100 employees distributed across the units of Infrastructure, Development and IT Management, Service, and IT Staff. The position is located within the IT Staff unit.

Your Role

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead IT projects and assignments
  • Conduct feasibility studies and develop decision-making materials and recommendations.
  • Conduct reporting and presentations
  • Contribute to the digitization of business processes

We are looking for someone who is proactive with a natural ability to independently structure and drive processes and tasks towards goals. You easily grasp and understand new assignments and have the ability to present complex tasks in an easily understandable way. You are attentive, communicative, and possess good social skills with the ability to build good relationships within the workgroup as well as with clients and stakeholders.

You have good collaboration skills and contribute to effective teamwork by maintaining an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach. You invite dialogue, listen actively, and adapt your communication based on the current situation.

Qualifications and Experience

You have

  • a university degree or other knowledge acquired in a way that the employer assesses as equivalent
  • several years of documented experience as a project manager in IT
  • completed at least one project in the last three years
  • experience working with PPS or other project models
  • technical understanding and a good general knowledge of IT operations
  • the ability to speak and document fluently in both Swedish and English.

It is an advantage if you have

  • knowledge in requirements management
  • knowledge in process mapping
  • experience leading workshops
  • good knowledge of PM3
  • experience with LOU
  • ITIL certification
  • experience working in a government agency
