JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a specialist nurse assistant, you will be a role model and inspire the application of a salutogenic approach at the individual, group, and organizational levels to create and develop a learning and engaged work climate. By educating and mentoring colleagues in both general and specific matters, you actively contribute to increasing quality for the customer.

As a specialist nurse assistant, you coach and guide your colleagues within your area of expertise based on the organization's goals, routines, and the delegation of the patient-responsible nurse (PAS).

You work in your team according to the same work schedule as your colleagues and with regular care tasks but may also be assigned to work in another team based on your area of expertise if the need arises. You should be able to drive the work independently, based on assignments from the unit manager, and collaborate with other professionals and report to them. You will work preventively, with measures, follow-ups, and the development of the organization. Other tasks include documentation according to applicable legislation and work with various quality registers.

The assignment is primarily governed by the Social Services Act (SoL), the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (OSL), the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL), the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and general advice, as well as municipal governing documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

• We are looking for you who are a specialist nurse assistant with relevant specialist education in one of the following areas: palliative care, multi-morbidity, cognitive impairment, psychiatry, or another specialization.
• Documented work experience in care and nursing.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as documentation is part of the job responsibilities.
• Good computer skills and experience with documentation.
• It is an advantage if you also have knowledge of Senior Alert, Life Care, and low-arousal approaches.
• A driver's license (B) is required for certain placement areas.

You have a genuine interest in working with people and meet each individual based on their needs and wishes. You can adapt your approach depending on what the situation requires. You are confident in yourself and comfortable working independently and mentoring and motivating colleagues. Being a specialist nurse assistant means constant development, and we expect you to be engaged in both your own and the organization's development. We are looking for someone who enjoys staying updated on successful methods and practices used in elderly care, such as assistive devices and welfare technology. You need to be a skilled communicator and provide support to your colleagues in encounters and ethical issues.

Permanent employment with a start date by agreement. Karlskrona Municipality works with full-time as the norm and offers 100% employment rate. Working hours are during the day and evening on weekdays and weekends. You will be placed in Rödeby 1 but may work within our collaborative area as needed.
