About Us
Welcome to the Emergency Department in Karlshamn!
The Emergency Department is a receiving unit that takes in medical patients via ambulance or assessment vehicle.
We also receive patients referred from primary care or other departments in the hospital. We accept patients around the clock with breathing difficulties, dizziness, chest pain, various infections, blood clots in the leg, strokes, and more. We are a positive and close-knit team with a wide range of experiences and competencies. Now we are looking for you who want to be a part of us. The Job
As a nurse, you will assess, care for, and treat medical patients during their stay in the Emergency Department. As a nurse in the Emergency Department, you will have varied and stimulating tasks that allow you to grow into your professional role. You will be part of a team together with doctors, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. You will work according to routines and applicable governing documents. As a nurse in the Emergency Department, you are also expected to contribute to developing and improving work methods, as well as being involved in driving processes. You will contribute suggestions for solutions, a positive attitude, and good interactions to create a good work environment.
We apply individualized operational-based scheduling with rotating shifts.
Applicants who are considered for employment must present an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.
Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a crisis management role. Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security assessment interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
About You
We are looking for licensed nurses, preferably with experience in emergency care, which is an advantage. You should have good collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and be flexible and responsible in your tasks. You should thrive in changing tempos and find it stimulating and varied.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
