JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a track technician, you will be part of a team working with the operation and maintenance of railways as well as some new construction. The position involves participating in yard renovations, track construction, rail and sleeper replacements, and more. We are responsible for 90 miles of railway in Värmland and Dalsland, from Öxnered to Hällefors and Charlottenberg to Laxå, as well as the stretch from Kil to Torsby.

The position is based in Kil, but work also occurs in nearby areas such as Arvika, Sunne, Mellerud, and Kristinehamn. In your role, you will work together with an engaged team to drive the work forward.

We are looking for someone who is curious, forward-thinking, and enjoys working in a team. To fit in the role, you need to be able to work independently and take your own initiatives.

It is important that you have the ability to be flexible as weekend and night work may occur. On-call duty may also be part of the position. Therefore, we prefer that you live in the local area.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Approved high school education
• Driving license B (manual)
• Meets medical requirements to be approved for safety service

It is an advantage if you have:

• Work experience in the field
• Further education in track technology
• Experience from the railway industry
• Driving license C
• Authorization to operate track vehicles
