Svenska Retursystem is the smart circular system for the country's food. The company's mission is to make Sweden's food chain efficient and sustainable. The core idea is that the industry's distribution should be done with shared pallets and boxes that can be reused over and over again. One of the company's main goals is to reduce the climate impact of the food industry. The company is equally owned by Swedish Grocery Trade and Grocery Suppliers. Svenska Retursystem has production and logistics facilities in Helsingborg, Mölnlycke, Vaggeryd, Västerås, and Örebro, as well as its headquarters in Stockholm.

The Assignment

Svenska Retursystem, SRS, is continuously growing and has gained many new customers in recent years. We are now looking for a logistics analyst to join the team in Västerås. The team consists of three logistics analysts and is part of the pallet flow & inventory department within SRS logistics.

As a logistics analyst, you will work with customer cases and investigations related to SRS's return pallet business, where the transaction system (Customer Portal) is an important component. The Customer Portal is the heart of SRS's circular system of return boxes and pallets that constantly flow around in a large and complex system within the food industry.

You will work with:

• First-line customer support for inquiries related to the return pallet business in the return system
• Investigations and analysis of deviations
• Invoicing
• Administration and corrections in the IT system
• Training customers in the system and helping them do it right
• Contributing to development initiatives and improvement activities

You also need to be analytical, meticulous, and responsible with a good ability to see and understand connections. To succeed in the role, you need:

• At least two years of experience in logistics
• To be interested in analyzing flows and inventory levels
• Good IT skills and some experience working in business systems and systems with large data flows (transaction systems), as well as in Microsoft Excel
• High communicative ability both written and spoken and enjoy communicating with customers, both in Swedish and English

It is also advantageous if you have:

• Experience working in a service-oriented manner with daily customer contact
• Post-secondary education in SCM or Logistics
• Competence and experience in inventory management, experience in inventory assignments
• Interest and experience in sustainable development
• Experience with rotating/circular goods flows (e.g., process industry, service logistics, spare parts logistics)
• Experience in the food industry
• Knowledge in process work and structured improvement work
