The psychiatric clinic caters to individuals aged 18 and older who require specialist psychiatric care. Common diagnoses include neuropsychiatric disorders, bipolar disorder, severe depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, as well as psychotic disorders and schizophrenia. Our team includes doctors, nurses, caregivers, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. The content of psychiatric care is based on a holistic perspective that encompasses medical, psychological, and nursing interventions. The psychiatric clinic in Falun is undergoing a transformation phase, and we are looking for someone who enjoys challenges and brings new ideas. There is an opportunity for remote work one day a week and flexible working hours within the framework of the flexitime agreement, if the operations allow. Care Assistant/Support Worker for Psychiatric Clinic, Falun

Job Responsibilities

We at the Psychiatric Clinic in Falun are looking for a new colleague!

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of patients' basic functions and networks.
• Conduct follow-up visits and conversations both at the clinic and digitally.
• Participate in various group therapies.
• Implement SIP, care planning with inpatient care, and internal and external contacts.
• Alternate tasks with established routines to face situations that require initiative and creativity.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed care assistant/support worker with good nursing skills.
• Degree from the Health and Care Program, vocational package Health and Care in adult education, YH education Support Worker in Psychiatric Operations 400 credits or equivalent relevant education.

Meritorious:

• Experience working at a psychiatric clinic or equivalent.
• Experience in psychiatry and/or addiction care.
• Experience with the journal systems Take Care and Cosmic.
• Computer proficiency.
• Experience working in Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365.
• Experience working in various digital meeting services.
• A cheerful and positive team member who collaborates easily.

Information about the Job Title

As of July 1, 2023, care assistant is a protected job title (https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/underskoterska-blir-en-skyddad-yrkestitel/). This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title care assistant within health and care.

You can apply for the certificate starting July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in health and care, but with a different title than care assistant. For those offered a job with us in Region Dalarna after July 1, this means that the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. If you had a permanent position with the title care assistant when the new regulations came into effect on July 1, 2023, you can continue to use the care assistant title for 10 years. You can retain the title even if you change workplaces/employers after July 1. After that, you will need a certificate of protected job title to use the title care assistant.
