The County Adult Psychiatry Falun - Säter has a county-wide mission responsible for psychiatric emergency departments, inpatient care, and addiction treatment. In Falun, we have our addiction emergency department, inpatient care for both addiction conditions and general psychiatry, and our LARO clinic. At the LARO clinic, a cross-professional and cohesive team consisting of doctors, nurses, caregivers, medical secretaries, and social workers works together. We have short times from investigation to treatment, and the clinic's staff has good knowledge of the patients belonging to the unit. The work is done in collaboration and close cooperation with social services, outpatient psychiatry, our mobile team (PEA), as well as primary care and other care partners. The LARO clinic is directly adjacent to our addiction emergency department and two of our inpatient care departments. The geographical proximity between the clinic and inpatient care leads to seamless integration and great flexibility in care.

Job Responsibilities

We offer you a stimulating and varied job with your own responsibility where collegial collaboration is a central part of the work. As a doctor at our LARO clinic, you will be part of a larger medical team. We have daily morning meetings for the medical group and first-line managers. The clinic is currently almost independent of hired doctors. Within the organization, our ambition is to provide good opportunities for development and education with short decision-making paths. At the clinic, we currently have several addiction specialists. The LARO clinic serves as a central unit for the training of our ST doctors. We have a very competent group of ST doctors who are highly involved in the work at the clinic and during their service period are engaged in special areas within psychiatry. Our vision is to build a strong addiction organization based on what has been proposed in the dual diagnosis investigation and to try to train more doctors in the addiction field in the coming years. You will have a central role in this.

As the medical manager for our addiction care, you will also be part of a medical management group consisting of chief consultants and MLAs from inpatient care in Falun and Säter. You may be offered opportunities for observation days within suitable activities, and regular internal training and forums for collegial knowledge exchange are organized within psychiatry. The work consists of outpatient work Mon-Fri with assessments, investigations, and treatment of patients' addiction-related problems. The assignment as a specialist doctor entails medical responsibility for the clinic with the implementation and development of evidence-based methods.

Start date according to agreement. 90% of the time is allocated to clinical work. 10% within the framework of medical management responsibility.

The job also includes on-call duties during evenings, nights, and weekends. There is a great opportunity to take out compensatory time regularly.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed physician with specialist competence in general psychiatry. Experience working with LARO.

Meritorious:

• Specialist competence in addiction medicine.

Personal qualities:

The position requires both the ability to take initiative and to work independently. Also, good judgment and collaboration skills. You should have an interest in developing common care and treatment strategies for the patient group. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
