The Anesthesia, Operating, and Intensive Care Clinic (ANOPIVA) at Linköping University Hospital is part of the Sinnescentrum, Region Östergötland.

Job Description

The tasks include anesthesia, postoperative care, and intensive care for adult and pediatric patients. The anesthesia activities cover major upper and lower abdominal surgery, urological and gynecological surgery, orthopedics and spinal surgery, HPK, eye and ENT surgery, as well as neurosurgery. In intensive care, patients with needs for general intensive care, burn intensive care, or neuro intensive care are treated. The work includes supervision and education of residents, students, and staff from various professional categories.

Work Group

Within ANOPIVA, 520 employees work, of which 65 are doctors, and among them, 45 are specialist doctors. We are a large workgroup with broad and extensive experience. Work is done in teams with nurses, nursing assistants, and paramedical staff, often in collaboration with other specialties.

About You

We are looking for a licensed physician with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare, an approved specialist certificate in anesthesia and intensive care from the National Board of Health and Welfare, and previous experience in clinical work within the specialty. Good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form are a prerequisite. Research and teaching experience are meritorious.

You adapt your approach according to the situation. You demonstrate good judgment in statements, actions, and decisions. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively. You set and adhere to deadlines. You understand the professional aspects of the work particularly well. You continuously maintain your specialist knowledge and have a good ability to handle complex issues with patients. You are a knowledge resource for others. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
