Arboga municipality is investing in a modern primary school that meets the demands of today and the future. The new school, being built next to the current Gäddgård School, will offer home classrooms for all grades, adapted primary education, a full-sized sports hall, and artistic decoration in both indoor and outdoor environments. The new school is expected to be ready for occupancy in the first half of 2026, with the school year starting in the autumn of the same year. Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a special educator/special teacher at 100% with a central role in the school's student health team. You will work both operationally close to the daily activities and strategically to strengthen the processes of student health. Your efforts should support our employees as well as our students' knowledge and personal development. You have a clear pedagogical leadership and are flexible in finding solutions in situations that may be challenging. You are self-driven, responsible, and experienced in documenting support measures. Your role includes being a partner with the school management and an extended arm into the school activities.
Qualifications
In this position, you will meet many people in various forums and collaborate, which requires excellent teamwork skills. You have a good ability to see each student's unique needs from different perspectives and the ability to find the best solutions for each individual student.
We are looking for someone who has:
- a teaching degree
- a special education degree or equivalent special teacher training
- good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish
It is an advantage if you have:
- experience in tasks such as establishing pedagogical assessments, investigations, and action plans
- work experience from primary school
- experience in mentoring educators
- experience in difficult conversations with guardians
- experience working with special education groups.
