The Baggage Operations unit is responsible for the baggage process from check-in desk to baggage reclaim in all terminals of Stockholm Arlanda Airport. As a coordinator in baggage handling, you will coordinate and manage all actions to maintain the technical function of the airport's baggage system and plan check-in desks, baggage reclaim areas, and arrival belts.

What does the role entail?

As a BHS Coordinator, your main task is to perform technical operational monitoring regarding fault reporting, as well as alarm and system monitoring of the airport's baggage systems, check-in desks, arrival belts, and x-ray equipment. A significant part of the role also involves planning, optimizing, and publishing check-in desks, baggage reclaim areas, and arrival belts.

You will act as support to users and operators of the facility, and in the event of faults and interruptions affecting the flow of traffic at the airport, you will consult with the APOC Supervisor (on-duty airport manager) and ground service companies. The role also includes documenting any faults and actions taken.

To be considered for the position, you must undergo our internal training and internship lasting approximately six weeks. Salary is provided during the training period.

The employment is a part-time position starting in May and lasting until August or September, and you are expected to work at least 20 hours per week.

Who are you?

We see that you have:

• Good experience with technical data systems
• Computer proficiency
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have a technical education. Experience in a coordination role or in leadership is also a plus. Since the job involves shift work, it is beneficial if you have previously worked night shifts. We would also like you to be able to continue working after the employment period as there is a chance for extension.

As the job involves three-shift work, it is a requirement that you can travel to and from the airport at all hours of the day.

As a person, you have a customer-oriented approach and can handle an environment with a high pace. We also see that you have a positive attitude and a flexible approach to your tasks. It is also important to be able to work independently and make your own decisions. Personal qualities are highly valued.
