JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Your workplace will be at Lovö Waterworks, beautifully located in Ekerö municipality by the shores of Lake Mälaren. Lovö Waterworks currently produces drinking water for approximately 700,000 people in the Stockholm area. We have many exciting years ahead of us as we renovate and expand the waterworks to secure future production. At Lovö Waterworks, we currently have one process engineer and are now looking for a colleague to form a strong team of two process engineers. Together, you will drive and develop our work within a crucial societal operation.
As a process engineer, you will participate in the daily work of monitoring the process, planning, optimizing, and implementing process strategies. The work involves close collaboration with operating engineers, laboratory staff, and development engineers at the plant. You will also collaborate with the expert functions available in other units within the department and the company. We are in a project-intensive phase, which means you will be an important part of our project work.
Main Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility
- Monitor water quality, energy and chemical consumption, exchange, and analyze/investigate any deviations and support operations with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Investigate, implement, and follow up on operational improvements and process and operational strategies
- Drive pilot studies where new processes are tested, participate in the commissioning of new equipment/new process steps.
- Contribute to investment and development projects by providing process expertise
- Ensure the quality of process-related operating instructions
- Assist the manager with budget work, forecasts, and monthly follow-ups
- Participate in the procurement of contract suppliers relevant to operations and be the contact person for contracts
- Conduct training for engineers and technicians
- Participate in our important systematic work environment efforts
QUALIFICATIONS
We need a person who is responsible, who understands and supports our important mission. The work gives you great opportunities to plan your work, so you need to be self-driven, proactive, and communicative with your colleagues. As a person, you are driven, passionate about technology and problem-solving. You naturally enjoy working both individually and in a group where you collectively achieve results. We believe that you are currently working with similar tasks within water supply, energy, pharmaceuticals, or another process industry.

We see that you have:
- Master's degree or bachelor's degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, biotechnology, environmental water technology, or relevant work experience.
- Experience working in waterworks (strongly meritorious) or process industry
- Experience in deviation management and project participation is meritorious
- Fluent in Swedish and very good knowledge of English
- Driver's license B is a requirement
In your position, you will work with classified information. Security screening and background checks will therefore be conducted in connection with employment. We apply a 6-month probationary period.
