Project Manager Permits
Svenska kraftnät is one of the most important players in a sustainable energy transition. As a Project Manager Permits, you will be offered one of Sweden's most important jobs, where you will contribute to Sweden's electricity supply every day. We need you to succeed in our socially important mission to electrify Sweden.
With us in the Network division, you will be involved in expanding and maintaining the transmission network. To meet society's needs, Svenska kraftnät plans to build 7000 kilometers of transmission lines over the next 20 years. Apply today and get the chance to help illuminate Sweden!
About the position
The energy transition presents significant challenges for the power system and requires extensive investments. Large parts of our transmission network are outdated, and we at Svenska kraftnät are working to develop and expand the network while reinvesting in the existing infrastructure.
The role of Project Manager Permits is crucial for us to succeed in our mission. You will belong to the Permits Consultation unit, which consists of two teams that, like the entire Svenska kraftnät, are growing. The Permits Consultation units are responsible for the permitting work in the early phases; from project initiation to submitted concession application. After that, a smooth handover to the Permits Construction units begins.
As a Project Manager for Permits, you are responsible for the permitting work in the early phase of the projects assigned to you. You are responsible for procuring consultants for your projects, which you will lead and manage during the project with a focus on time, cost, and quality. You ensure the consultation process, the preparation of environmental impact assessments, and concession applications. You lead and conduct meetings with municipalities, other authorities, county administrative boards, and the Energy Markets Inspectorate.
As a Project Manager Permits, you report to the project manager for the current project and the unit manager. In consultation with the project manager, you are responsible for identifying and assessing permit risks, i.e., risks that may jeopardize time, cost, and quality. You ensure that the work on larger permits, such as Natura 2000, is carried out according to the established project plan and Svenska kraftnät's project model.
The Permits Consultation unit belongs to the Permits & Land Access section, the Line Projects department, and is part of the Network Division that builds and manages the transmission network at Svenska kraftnät. With us, you will be part of a dynamic workplace with exciting challenges. A workplace where you grow and take responsibility. It is important that you feel comfortable and well, and you are welcome to read more about what we as an employer can offer you: Svenska kraftnät - Benefits (https://www.svk.se/for-medarbetare/for-nyanstallda/formaner/)
