Sylvamo Nymölla mill is located twenty kilometers east of Kristianstad in Bromölla municipality. The mill produces pulp using the magnefite method and uncoated fine paper. Multicopy is our most well-known product. The production capacity is 340,000 tons of pulp and 475,000 tons of fine paper.

About the position
We are expanding our organization and are now looking for technicians for our paper machines. In this role, you will work with the operation, maintenance, and optimization of the paper machine and its associated systems. Your main responsibility is to ensure that production is stable, efficient, and safe by quickly identifying and addressing technical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and actively participating in improvement work.
You will work closely with operators, shift leaders, and the maintenance team to optimize machine performance, minimize downtime, and maximize product quality.
Main tasks
- Monitoring and optimizing the paper machines to ensure high operational availability and quality.
- Planning machine downtime together with our maintenance department.
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical components during acute operational disturbances.
- Performing preventive maintenance according to established maintenance programs.
- Participating in improvement projects and technical upgrades of machines and systems.
- Analyzing production data and identifying causes of deviations, as well as suggesting and implementing improvements.
- Collaborating with automation technicians and the maintenance team to ensure that equipment operates optimally.
- Participating in planned audits and shutdowns to carry out major service work.
- Actively working with safety and work environment by following guidelines and reporting risks.
- Providing technical support to operators and contributing to their skills development.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is driven and has a commitment to safety and quality. The role requires you to have a good technical understanding and problem-solving ability. You are analytical and solution-oriented. You have good collaboration skills and are used to working in teams. To succeed in the role, you also need to have good communication skills.
Your skills and experience
- You have a technical education in paper/pulp manufacturing, mechanics, automation, electrical engineering, process technology, or other education/work experience that can be considered equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in maintenance and/or operations within the process industry, preferably in the paper and/or pulp industry.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preferably control and regulation technology.
- Basic IT skills
- It is an advantage if you have experience with LEAN, working with digital maintenance systems such as SAP PM, and knowledge of specific processes and equipment of paper machines.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.
- Valid B driver's license
Other The position is full-time and working hours are scheduled during the day. Appointment will be made by agreement. We apply a probationary period.
