At the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic in Linköping, qualified psychiatric assessment and treatment work is carried out. We are about 150 employees who together shape the future of child psychiatry. The core activities consist of outpatient, inpatient, and intermediate care, as well as several subspecialized units and teams such as the eating disorder unit, trauma unit, and gender identity unit (KIM). Job Description
As a nurse in the BUP clinic's eating disorder unit, you will work in a team with your colleagues and also independently with your own patient visits and assessments with support and guidance. You will have close collaboration with the responsible physician and with other professionals. The position involves tasks such as conducting somatic examinations and medical assessments, as well as having psychoeducational and supportive conversations. The work includes collaboration with relatives, authorities, and care neighbors. The work is varied, developing, and suits you who want to take a lot of personal responsibility. Patient education and person-centered care permeate our entire way of working. At the clinic, we work in a learning manner in various forums. Your introduction will be tailored based on your knowledge, skills, and previous experiences. We have a strong focus on education and development. We are keen to create conditions for you to feel welcome and safe in your role. During the introduction, you will have a mentor.
We are looking for someone for the eating disorder unit, but we also appreciate your interest in learning about our operations and willingness to try working in both outpatient and inpatient care.
Work Group
The work takes place in a cross-professional team that includes nurses, specialist doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers, dietitians, and physiotherapists. At the BUP clinic, you as a nurse are offered regular supervision, an introduction program, and a mentor. Improvement and development work is part of our everyday life, and we also conduct teaching and research within the clinic.
About You
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with relevant specialist education, such as in child and adolescent or psychiatric care. We prefer that you have a few years of professional experience working with psychiatry and/or children and adolescents. It is also meritorious if you have experience working in eating disorder care. Experience in eating disorder care is advantageous.
As you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability such as responsibility, good collaboration skills, stability and flexibility, curiosity to learn, willingness to try new things, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
