Tantum is a family business rooted in fine old craftsmanship traditions. The carpentry started back in 1973. Nowadays, our famous Tantum interiors make up the majority of our production and can be found in nursing homes, schools, and other demanding environments throughout the Nordic region. Another important part of our business is contract manufacturing in large and small series for the automotive industry, boat industry, and building materials sector. While we have craftsmanship in our genes, we also utilize the latest technology today, with robot-equipped CNC machines and presses for precision gluing of cabinet frames. In our production facility, we manufacture and assemble kitchen furnishings for public environments as well as contract manufacturing for the automotive and boat industries. Tantum AB in Malmö will need to expand its production in the spring of 2025 with an additional new colleague, a self-driven and versatile carpenter/assembler with experience and familiarity with wood materials.

Job Responsibilities

You will independently perform carpentry and assembly work within production based on provided drawing materials using tools such as a table router, planer, and miter saw. We believe that you, as a person, enjoy a job with variety and constant challenges.

To fit in, the following is required:

• Preferably experience or education as a carpenter in wood production
• Familiarity with woodworking machines
• Good knowledge of reading blueprints
• Good tool skills (screwing, sawing/cutting, milling, drilling, etc.)
• Ability to work independently but also in a team
• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Computer skills
• CNC experience/education is a plus
• Forklift license is a plus

You are responsible and driven with a forward-thinking attitude. Organized and meticulous to ensure the quality of the final product, as well as logical thinking. You have good social skills as it is important to fit into the group and collaborate with others. We place great importance on your interest and attitude.

Work Location & Hours

The work takes place at Tantum's facility in Malmö. Working hours are Monday to Thursday (6:30 AM - 4:05 PM) and Fridays (6:30 AM - 12:30 PM). Collective agreement GS.

Start date is in March/April or as soon as possible.

This is a so-called temp-to-hire position where our client collaborates with us at Ny Kollega. After the rental period (usually about 6 months), the person we are looking for will be hired by our client company.
