Kriminalvården is Growing – Production Leader for Fosie Prison

Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transport.

Fosie Prison is located on the outskirts of Malmö and was built in 1986. Fosie is a prison in security class 2 with space for 173 men, where approximately 300 employees and 10 managers manage, lead, and develop the operations. The operations are constantly changing and have been expanded several times over the years, including establishing places for particularly resource-demanding inmates (SRI) and most recently through a newly opened modular building.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a production leader, you will have direct contact with our clients and work to motivate and instruct them in their daily activities. The job involves planning and distributing work, as well as ensuring and following up on operations together with other production leaders. Fosie Prison has three main areas of operation: assembly & packaging, wood industry, and an upcoming textile processing production department.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• Introducing, planning, distributing, and mentoring clients in one of the prison's five production departments
• Collaborating with other production leaders to create/revise quotes and be the client's contact person for the work operation
• Following up and ensuring that products meet the quality demanded by customers
• Registering working hours for the inmates in the system tool PErS

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• a complete high school education or other education combined with work experience that Kriminalvården deems relevant
• the ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
• work experience from the manufacturing industry

It is advantageous if you have:

• education in manufacturing/assembly industry
• previous experience in fine or furniture carpentry
• work experience in a supervisory role within industrial work
• education in or experience with ISO9000 and Lean
• relevant language skills
• driver's license B
• forklift license
• safety awareness both from a work environment and client safety perspective
