By providing support and service in daily life, you contribute to ensuring that the tenants in our LSS accommodations have the opportunity to live like everyone else.

We are looking for you, a support pedagogue for a work group of 7 people who are in an exciting phase. It is a staff group and a unit manager working at two service apartments with 16 tenants.

As an employee at Kungsholmen District Administration, you will receive, among other things, an annual wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK. Your role

Your role includes providing support in everyday life to those living in our accommodations so that they can lead a more independent life based on established goals and agreements. The operations are governed by the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Disabilities (LSS). The goal is for individuals to have the opportunity to live like others. In your role as a support pedagogue, you will also:

• Lead and distribute daily work within the unit.
• Guide, apply, and implement pedagogical work in everyday user-oriented tasks.
• Be responsible for the development of pedagogical work together with the manager and other colleagues.
• Guide and support colleagues in establishing implementation plans, social documentation, and other necessary documents.
• Establish implementation plans, support routines, and activities for individuals.
• Work to promote users' participation, integrity, and self-determination.
• Coordinate contacts with healthcare, habilitation, guardians, administrators, and relatives as well as daily activities.
• Manage the staffing of the group home and organize work within the staff group in the scheduling system Medvind.
• Make purchases in Agresso.
• Write routines, conduct risk assessments, and work closely with the deputy unit manager regarding operations.

You will participate in the unit manager's management group together with the coordinator for the social psychiatry provider unit with whom you will also collaborate.

Your qualifications and experience

It is a requirement for the position that you are a support pedagogue, which means that you have:

• Post-secondary specialization in the area of disabilities that includes at least 200 vocational college credits or 60 university credits.
• A completed upper secondary program in the child and leisure program with a focus on social work or educational work.
• Alternatively, the Health and Care program with specialization in the program deepening in disabilities.
• At least one year of experience in a similar role with extensive knowledge of the target group and LSS.
• Good computer skills and proficiency in the Office suite as well as other digital tools.
• The ability to express yourself fluently in both speech and writing.
• Experience working with various types of cognitive aids such as visual support, photos, social stories, and similar.
• Comfort and at least one year of experience leading a work group.

It is an advantage if:

• You have knowledge of low-arousal approaches.
• You are certified in the City of Stockholm's training in the pedagogical framework.

The Department of Social Services is responsible for the care of persons with disabilities, individual and family care, financial assistance, and labor market measures as well as field and leisure activities. In 2025, the responsibility for playground activities will be transferred to the department. For certain positions within the Social Services Department, a criminal record check may be required.
