Senior Property Technician at Scandic Hotels

Job Description

Scandic Technical Operations is looking for a full-time Senior Property Technician! As a technician, you will be part of an organization that collectively manages the property operations of 28 Scandic hotels in the Stockholm region. You will be based at one of our hotels but will assist at all hotels in Scandic Stockholm. You will report to the Property Manager and to MTO, Manager Technical Operations.

Examples of tasks:

• Supervision and patrolling of the property.
• Corrective property maintenance, which can include everything from changing faucets, fixing locks, to carpentry work.
• Preventive systematic fire safety work.
• Participate in driving preventive maintenance projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Documented experience as a Property Technician / Property Caretaker / Property Technician.
• Documented experience in the construction sector - carpenter, tiler, plumber, or similar.
• Education/knowledge in electrical engineering.
• Good knowledge of property technical systems.
• Experience working in M365 (Microsoft Office).
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Your Background and Personality

We are looking for someone with work experience as a property technician who wants to work in a property organization, where you will work in a team at your hotel in close collaboration with other departments. You will work closely with the hotel's Property Manager, who is your supervisor.

As a Property Technician, you thrive in a fast-paced environment where quick decisions are made, and as the driven problem solver you are, you tackle and resolve unpredictable situations that may arise in the technical operations of a hotel. Many points of contact within both your own team and at the hotels require good collaboration skills. Since much of the work takes place in shared spaces close to our dear guests, integrity and social competence are important personal qualities for the role. Working hours vary but are during the day, and weekend work may occur.
