Strategic Buyer for Additive Manufacturing

Your Role

We are currently looking for a strategic buyer for Additive Manufacturing (AM). The role is organizationally under the section for purchasing Non-Metallic Components in Linköping but handles both metallic and plastic items for AM. The role supports broad technical areas within ground combat, underwater, and missile products, both in Linköping and Karlskoga. We are in an exciting phase where we are both building our own capabilities and establishing external partnerships. As a Strategic Buyer for AM, you will work closely with the Saab Dynamics AM Core team, whose task is to create technical and process prerequisites for the AM business, and you will also be part of Saab AB's category team for AM. The role requires great flexibility and responsiveness to the organization's needs and market conditions. The work includes ensuring compliance with Saab's purchasing strategy, being responsible for suppliers, and negotiating with suppliers. The position includes travel.

Responsibilities in the Role:

• Establish and continuously develop strategies for the supplier base within AM, in line with Saab Dynamics' needs and Saab AB's strategy.
• Evaluate potential new suppliers and manage and develop existing ones.
• Support the AM-Core team, as well as the business areas' projects and programs with commercial responsibility and continuously evaluate the market competitiveness of the current supplier portfolio.
• Be responsible for negotiating, actively managing, and further developing our supplier agreements.

Your Profile

You have experience in strategic purchasing and are structured, used to effectively collaborating with team members and other stakeholders. You have the ability to quickly adapt to new conditions and contexts and can act pragmatically with a strong sense of responsibility for processes and results.

Your tasks will be performed in both Swedish and English, which means that good knowledge of English is a prerequisite.

We value a habit of working methodically with long-term determination and perseverance, as well as excellent communication skills.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
