Job Description

We are now looking for a pharmacy technician or pharmacy assistant who has a genuine interest in helping patients and delivering products and services of high quality. Initially, the position will be located in Supply, with the potential to move to the medication preparation unit or a variation in between, depending on where the need is greatest.

Work Group

The mission of Clinical Pharmacology is to promote safe and effective use of medications in all parts of healthcare. Here, pharmacists, doctors, nurses, chemists, and laboratory/technical staff work together to meet the needs of healthcare. We encompass a broad operation with medication analyses, medication information center, clinical trial unit, assignments for the drug committee, clinical pharmacy, evaluation of new medications, and a range of support functions for safe medication use via the region's journal system and website. Clinical Pharmacology is also responsible for medication preparation and parts of medication supply in Region Östergötland. As a university hospital unit, we also actively engage in research, development, and education regarding medications and their use.

In medication supply, we manage the medication inventory of departments. In consultation with the clinic, we develop a basic assortment that we order, unpack, and revise annually. We also have a fluid storage in-house where we store fluids that we deliver to healthcare. Additionally, we provide care-related services where we relieve nurses of medication management for inpatients.

At the medication preparation unit in Linköping, we manufacture individualized medications. We produce both cytostatics and sterile medications, as well as handle medications for clinical trials. The manufacturing for individual patients is done with short lead times in direct contact with healthcare.

About You

High school diploma.

Experience working in a preparation unit at a hospital pharmacy is an advantage. Experience in laboratories is also an advantage. In addition, we would like you to have experience in inventory management.

Good knowledge of Swedish and good computer skills.
