JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of exam invigilator, you are responsible for ensuring that students taking exams in the University of Gothenburg's common examination rooms can do so in a legally secure manner. You ensure that the exam can start and be submitted correctly (either digitally or on paper), check that the student is registered for the respective exam and has valid identification. The role of the exam invigilator also includes working to detect any misleading behavior and reporting such cases further.
In the role of exam invigilator, you will meet many students, so a correct and professional approach is important. It is self-evident for you to treat all students with respect, and at the University of Gothenburg, we have a zero-tolerance policy against all forms of discrimination and harassment.

Therefore, it is a prerequisite that you are comfortable working in various digital systems and can quickly adapt to new technology and programs and integrate this into your work. At the University of Gothenburg, work is primarily conducted in a Windows environment, but many students use Mac computers.
During digital room examinations, you, as an exam invigilator, are responsible for providing light IT support to students. This means that you need to be able to manage connections to the wireless network, installation and updates of specific programs, and have knowledge of operating systems.
