About Me:

I am a sharp and happy 40-year-old wheelchair user living with CP. My interests include movies, series, and meeting friends. I enjoy going to concerts, TV recordings, and taking walks both in the city and in nature. I also exercise regularly.

About You:

It is not a requirement that you have worked as a personal assistant before; the most important thing is that we have good chemistry. The rest can be learned if there is interest! You need to be able to work both weekdays and weekends on a rolling schedule. You should be smoke-free and cat-free due to my allergies. It’s a plus if you have a manual driving license.

About the Job:

Your duties will include assisting me with most daily tasks and personal hygiene. It is absolutely required that you speak Swedish fluently in both speech and writing, as I have a speech disability and need your help to communicate. I use several technical aids. To be hired, you must present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden.

Working Hours/Duration

You will work from morning around 08:30 until approximately the same time the following day. Saturdays and Sundays at 9:00. We can offer a temporary position for about 1 year on a fixed schedule of about 50% with the possibility of additional hours if needed. This means 5 days on a 4-week schedule, approximately one shift per week. The job can therefore be combined with other activities if desired. 5.5 hours of sleeping night duty.

Staffing:

This position includes an extended (and paid) staffing responsibility, which means that some weeks you must be available at times other than working hours to call in a substitute or step in to assist when needed. This is Assistans i Balans's way of ensuring that our clients always have a familiar assistant by their side. The responsibility is shared among all assistants working on a regular schedule.
